CLIA Laboratory Technologist
OncoHost, a fast-growing digital health and precision oncology company is seeking a CLIA Laboratory Technologist with a minimum of two years of high-complexity testing experience to join our clinical laboratory team in Cary, North Carolina. This role is responsible for specimen receipt and processing, test execution and analysis, accurate result reporting, and comprehensive documentation in accordance with validated procedures and CLIA regulations.
Responsibilities
· Perform specimen handling, accessioning, processing, testing, analysis, and result reporting in compliance with approved laboratory procedures.
· Maintain complete and accurate records of patient testing, including supporting documentation required for regulatory compliance.
· Follow established pre-analytical and analytical workflows and ensure all testing isperformed within defined performance specifications.
· Executeand document quality control (QC) activities, including instrument/equipment verification, calibrations, and maintenance (routine and preventive).
· Ensure proficiency testing (PT) samples are tested and documented in the same manneras patient specimens.
· Identify,document, and escalate issues that may impact test performance; promptly notify the appropriate supervisor/technical leadership.
· Apply laboratory policies for out-of-specification events, investigate deviations,and document corrective actions in alignment with quality management procedures.
· Support continuous improvement efforts by adhering to quality assurance (QA) requirements and contributing to a culture of compliance and accountability.
Requirements
· Associate degree in Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related field from anaccredited institution.
· Minimum of two (2) years ofexperience performing high-complexity testing in a clinical laboratory environment.
· Hands-on laboratoryexperience in one or more of the following: biochemistry, molecular biology, proteomics/protein methods, or immunology-based techniques.
· Experience withhigh-complexity automated assays.
· Familiarity with Agilent Microarray Scanner (or similar instrumentation).
· Strong attention to detail with consistent documentation practices and a quality-first mindset.
· Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced labenvironment.
Working conditions
The work is performed according to the guidelines of CFR2020-42 part493 and performed in aclinical laboratory.
